Fera is a finalist in The Press Business Awards 2012

Monday 20 August 2012

Fera’s Food Analysis Performance Assessment Scheme (FAPAS) has been shortlisted as a finalist in The Press Business Awards 2012.

Being selected from over 220 entries means Fera will now join the 37 businesses and individuals being visited by judges to decide the winners, who will be announced at an event at York Racecourse on November 15.  The unit is a finalist in the ‘Dare To Export’ category of the awards.

The Press Business Awards, now in its 22nd year, recognises the cream of the crop and has highlighted hundreds of best in class businesses in the Yorkshire region.

Fera’s FAPAS examines the proficiency of laboratory testing, and has expanded to deliver its services across the world.  It meets an increasing international need to obtain accreditation from national bodies, starting in the realm of food chemistry and moving into other areas such as food microbiology, genetically modified organisms and water testing.

Today FAPAS has about 25 staff delivering over 25,000 services to more than 3,000 customers in 110 countries.
