Plant Breeders' Rights & National list information letters

These will be published regularly to keep you up to date on National Listing and Plant Breeders' Rights matters and will include information such as changes in procedure (both administrative and technical) and closing dates.

2009

Issue 5 2009 (42KB):
UK/EC PBR applications, procedural explanation; rose applications, increase in plant material required; withdrawals, procedural explanation; November NLSC decisions, combinable crops (Cereals/Oilseeds/Pulses); revised closing dates for ornamentals; various VCU procedures for harvest 2010 have been published.

Updated arrangements for NL/PBR applicants for 2009/2010 including particular information for winter oilseed rape applicants.

Obligatory characters and their relative importance to be used in decision making for crops of major economic importance (wheat, barley, oilseed rape and grain peas) and for minor crops (oats, triticale, field beans, spring lupin and spring linseed); transposition of Commission Directive 2008/62/EC, streamlined arrangements for the collection of potato VCU fees, changes to the arrangements for the payment of charges incurred in the DUS testing of candidate varieties by other Member States and the appointment of the new Controller of Plant Variety Rights.
