- 6 November 2009 - Comments sought on new/updated PRAs for Columnea latent viroid, Monochamus sartor (sawyer beetle) and Tuta absoluta.
- 6 August 2009 - Comments sought on new/updated details on Dasineura oxycoccana (Blueberry midge) and Plasmopara obducens (Impatiens downy mildew).
- 23 July 2009 - A consultation has been published seeking views on the release of a non-native biocontrol agent for the control of Japanese knotweed. View more information about the consultation on the Defra website.
- 15 July 2009 - Comments sought on new Draft International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs). Fera would welcome comments to help formulate a UK position for discussion with EC and other European colleagues. Please try to comment as soon as possible, but at the latest by the end of August.
- 28 May 2009 - Comments sought on new/updated PRAs on Cacoecimorpha pronubana, Columnea latent viroid, Diaspidiotus perniciosus, Epichoristodes acerbella, Monochamus sartor and Ophelimus maskelli.

- 5 March 2009 - Launch of a new programme to manage the risks from P. ramorum and P. kernoviae
Environment Minister, Jane Kennedy, has announced a new, five year programme of work to manage the risks from Phytophthora ramorum and Phytophthora kernoviae. This is a very positive outcome from the policy review and public consultation. Further details can be found in the Defra news release.
