Sand Hutton offers a rare opportunity to grow within a unique scientific environment. Organisations based at the site benefit from world class equipment, a top range of support services, an enviable location and unique opportunities to interact with world class scientists and businesses all working at the interface of government, academia and industry.

Within eight miles of the centre of the historic city of York, the Sand Hutton site is home to The Food and Environment Research Agency - an Executive Agency of the UK Government Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). Fera specialises in the applied sciences underpinning a sustainable food chain, a healthy natural environment and protecting the global community from biological and chemical risks.

Other organisations on site include Public Health England, Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency, Birdstrike Management, Tissue Regenix, Forsite Diagnostics and Interserve. The site is used daily by around 850 people and within the 27,800 sq m houses a lively, active professional community fully engaged in the delivery of science, technology, knowledge exchange and product commercialisation.

Of necessity, the laboratory accommodation is state of the art and there is an extensive support network which enables Campus Partners to operate seamlessly while concentrating on their core functions.
